Frequently asked questions

What exactly does translAI do?

It reads the sung lyrics in your score, translates them into the language you choose and prints the translation in a new line directly under the original text. The rest of the page stays exactly as it was; the music below simply moves down a little to make room.

Which files can I upload?

PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP, TIFF (also multi-page), HEIC photos from iPhone, and Word (.docx) files that contain pictures of the score. Up to 60 pages and 50 MB per file.

Which languages are available?

Translation into English, Bulgarian, Russian, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese and Korean. The score itself can be in almost any language: Italian, German, French, Russian, Czech, Latin, Spanish, English and others.

How good is the translation?

The text is read, corrected and translated, and every translation is then checked a second time against the meaning of the whole sentence. It is very accurate, but it is still an automatic translation: for a performance, go over the nuances with your teacher or coach.

What is the “word to stress”?

An option you switch on when you upload: in every phrase we highlight in yellow the word that carries the meaning and the feeling, so you know which one to lean on. After the translation you can change the marked words or choose your own in My scores, at no extra cost.
